Lilly

screen-shot-2016-11-24-at-12-36-40-am“My 9 year old Shih Tzu, Lilly, was in full liver failure. I took her to two different conventional vets……one had given her a month to live and the other 2 weeks. Out of pure desperation, I turned to the internet to see if there was anything more I could do to save her. I found several stories of dogs, who had the same prognosis as Lilly, who had survived due to a change in diet and by adding supplements. I ordered books and starting buying supplements on my own. I found a dog food recipe online and soon starting making my own food.

The thing was, I had no clue what I was doing. A family friend recommended that I find a holistic vet who could help me and tell me if what I was doing was right or wrong. So, again, I turned to the internet and found Dr. Eva. I am SO grateful I did. When I took Lilly to see her, I brought along all her records from her previous vet, test results, the diet I was using, the list of supplements, etc. She reviewed everything and then gave a recommendation of which tests she felt were necessary. Once the results came back, we talked about what our next course of action should be and got to work. This included another change in diet (I wasn’t making her the right recipe), a change in supplements, including new supplements and the addition of Chinese herbs.

Within two weeks, I started to notice some big changes in Lilly, the fluid that had collected in her abdomen, making her severely bloated, had gone down considerably and she was much more active. Over the course of the following several weeks, she continued to improve. And today, she is literally back to her “old self”. She was given a week to a month to live, and we are going on one year (with hopes to keep her around for much longer). If it wasn’t for Dr. Eva, Lilly likely wouldn’t still be with us. Her patience, compassion, and thoroughness saved my dog and I give her the highest recommendation. She genuinely cares about her patients and is just a wonderful vet.”
